My top 5 favourite Grand Theft Auto games

Standard

1) Grand Theft Auto V (Xbox 360, Playstation 3)

My favourite Grand Theft Auto game as you can probably tell is Grand Theft Auto V. Grand Theft Auto V takes you back to San Andreas with the addition of Blaine County.

2) Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (PC, Xbox, Playstation 2, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Android, iOS)

My second favourite Grand Theft Auto game is San Andreas. Grand Theft Auto introduced the 3rd world in the 3D era of Grand Theft Auto games, San Andreas. One of my favourite parts of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was that you had to eat to stay alive.

3) Grand Theft Auto IV (PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3)

My third favourite Grand Theft Auto game is Grand Theft Auto IV. Grand Theft Auto IV is the first instalment in the HD-era of Grand Theft Auto games. It also featured a redesigned Liberty City based of New York.

4) Grand Theft Auto III (PC, Xbox, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Android, iOS) / Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories (PS2, PSP)

My fourth favourite Grand Theft Auto game is Grand Theft Auto III / Liberty City Stories. Grand Theft Auto II was the first Grand Theft Auto game to be fully 3D. Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories is linked into this part because it happened before the happenings in Grand Theft Auto III.

5) Grand Theft Auto Vice City (PC, Xbox, Playstation, Playstation 3, Android, iOS) / Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories (PS2, PSP)

My fifth favourite, not to say my least favourite is Grand Theft Vice City / Vice City Stories. Grand Theft Auto Vice City introduced a brand new world, Vice City (based on Miami). Vice City is the second 3D Grand Theft Auto game. And again Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories is linked into this post because it happened before the happenings of Grand Theft Auto Vice City. I have included the 10th Anniversary trailer because it was easier to find.

Xbox 360 controller vs Xbox One controller

Standard

For my last post partially made in 2013, I want to put the Xbox 360 controller against the new Xbox One controller.

Xbox 360:

The Xbox 360 is the most popular gaming console of the current-generation (not including the Wii) selling over 80 million consoles. The Xbox 360 was originally released in November 22nd 2005 and is the successor to the original Xbox. Not only was the Xbox 360 the most popular of its generation it had the more popular controller (Xbox 360 vs Playstation 3). The Xbox 360`s successor, the Xbox One was release on the 22nd of Novemeber 2013, 8 years after the Xbox 360’s launch. The Xbox 360’s competitors are the Playstation 3 and the Wii.

Xbox One:

The Xbox One is the most ambitious console of its generation so-far. Moving away from the PowerPC architecture and back into the x86 architecture as used in the original Xbox. The Xbox One isn’t the most popular console of its generation but it isn’t far away. The Xbox One’s competitors are the Playstation 4 and the Wii U. The Xbox One launched on the 22nd of November 2013.

The Controllers:

The Xbox One controller is a big improvement over the Xbox 360 controller but in what areas does the Xbox 360 controller beat it in?

As you can see from the picture the Xbox One controller features an improved D-Pad over the Xbox 360, you can also read the ABXY buttons more clearly because the background colour of the buttons is black. The Xbox One also removes the lump on the back of the controller previously used for holding the battery. But in what areas is the Xbox 360 better?

PC compatibility:

There is one downfall of the Xbox One controller, PC compatibility. Microsoft dominated the PC controller industry with the Xbox 360 controller, but they didn’t make the Xbox One controller compatible. There is always the chance they will release some firmware making it possible, but the PS4 controller may take over by then.

The Xbox One controller is the clear winner, only with one big downfall although after using the Xbox One controller it fells weird using the Xbox 360 controller.

Games I’m looking forward to

Standard

1) Watch_Dogs

For the first game I’m looking forward to I’ve picked Watch_Dogs a mix of Grand Theft Auto and hacking. Watch_Dogs has amazing graphics, an alright sized and dynamic world. Here is a video showing off Watch_Dogs’ beauty.

2) Quantum Break

For the second game I’m looking forward to I’ve picked Quantum Break. From the creators of Max Payne, Remedy brings yet again another amazing game, Quantum Break and if you don’t believe me watch the video below.

3) The Crew

And last but not least, The Crew. The Crew yet again brings us another brilliant racing game. Time after time Forza Motorsport and Need For Speed bring us new experiences and brilliant graphics and I expect no different of Ubisoft with, The Crew.

What Grand Theft Auto V is missing

Standard

In this post I am talking about things that I think Grand Theft Auto V is missing, they may or may not of been present in previous Grand Theft Auto titles.

1) In the first thing I think Grand Theft Auto V is missing is something present in a previous GTA title, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, eating. Eating was a big thing in GTA San Andreas, if you didn’t eat you would starve to death, making the game more realistic. This is something I was expecting in GTA V even though it was not present in Grand Theft Auto IV.

2) More shops, Clothing stores and Gas Stations! Alright I understand a game takes a long time to make but they still cant make more shops and gas stations and all of them be able to access inside! I know GTA IV didn’t have many either but GTA V is a step up from GTA IV!

3) Better online version! If you read my first post you’ll know I have a problem with infinite loading screens on my character 1. Grand Theft Auto Online was full of problems from day 1! I wouldn’t of minded them waiting until 2014 to get a great online experience rather than having a problem-filled online experience!

4) Internet cafes. In Grand Theft Auto IV the idea of Internet cafes was introduced, sure they are no longer needed because you can access the Internet from your phone but still it adds a charm to the game and GTA V is pretty empty, for its size!

5) GOOD GRAPHICS! Sure Grand Theft Auto V is one of the best looking current-gen games out but its still being beaten by Grand Theft Auto IV mods! Now I’m not saying the graphics are rubbish, there great but for a 5 year in the works game I was looking for better.

6) Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC version! I know Rockstar are looking to leave current-gen consoles with an amazing game such as they did with Grand Theft Auto San Andreas but for such a great game a Xbox One and PS4 would be great otherwise I’m going to be playing Watch_Dogs more than GTA V. And as for a PC version, a PC version is essential! There’s been a PC version for all all the main GTA games. Luckily there’s still time to release a PC version and I hope they do.
